My name is Darrin James. I used to be a beloved professor who had a great rapport with his students because of my sense of humor. And probably my boyish good looks. In 2005, I started showing symptoms of what later turned out to be ALS.

I retired in 2010. I am fighting to endure until there's a cure. My superpowers are determination, optimism and laughter.

As a teacher with a terminal disease who’s desperate to provide financially for my family before I die…I wish there was a show on TV I could relate to.
